Description
Fundraiser for Valley Restart Homeless Program
Set for Saturday May 3
The 5th annual Art from the Heart, an evening focused on food, winetasting, music and art, will benefit the Valley Restart Shelter, a nonprofit social service agency serving the San Jacinto Valley since 1989. The organization’s program has been successful in moving people out of homelessness and into a higher level of self-sufficiency and independence. A large part of the group’s funds go toward providing resources for essential needs, such as food, shelter and clothing. “Valley Restart is a partnership of the public, private, and religious sectors of the San Jacinto Valley. Many local businesses support our efforts along with a myriad of government agencies,” say its leader, Reverend Jim Hall. “Not all people are as fortunate as others and these need support and services from their community. This is especially true for the participants at Valley Restart.” Art from the Heart will take place Saturday May 3 at the Esplanade Arts Center, 2181 W. Esplanade Avenue (in the Fresh n Easy shopping center at Sanderson) San Jacinto, California 92582, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Tickets are $20 per person and may be purchased online at www.valleyrestart.org, or by calling Valley Restart at (951) 766-7476. Information regarding the event is available on the website. Part of the proceeds will benefit the Diamond Valley Arts Council’s (DVAC)’s program for cultural events in the community. DVAC has partnered with Valley Restart in organizing the event. Art for the evening’s auction, donated by some of the finest artists in the area, is currently on display at the Esplanade Arts Center through May 3. The gallery is open on Fridays from 2 pm to 7 pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 2 pm. Items Not Allowed
