ABOUT THE FESTIVAL Ladies, it’s your time to shine! There are more women than men involved in Dubai’s theatre scene. Yet, the majority of scripts and pieces call for more men. We’re giving all of Dubai’s leading ladies a chance to showcase their talents. The Queens of Drama festival encourages the recognition of women in the performing arts while not being a “women-only” event. The festival runs from December 3 – 12, starting with a weekend of short plays from December 3 – 5, a comedy night on December 4, a Storytelling event December 5, and a Quiz Night December 6. The event will be capped off with The Odd Couple (Female Version) from December 10 – 12.
