Intro to Sketch Comedy at M.i.'s Westside Comedy Theater will introduce students to a variety of sketch comedy categories for the stage. It will emphasize the writer/performer aspect where the class will pitch, write, and re-write sketches specifically to be performed by the members of the class ensemble. The class will incorporate a collaborative writer's room atmosphere. This 8-week course meets for 3 hours. 

TIMMY TAMISIEA has been writing and performing comedy for over 15 years. He has a BA from Marquette University in Performing Arts and an MFA in Screenwriting and Directing from Columbia College Chicago. Timmy was a monologue intern for Conan. His two-man sketch group We Have An Uncle Dick has been featured at The Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival, The Los Angeles Comedy festival, UCB LA, Second City Chicago, and iO in Chicago and in Los Angeles. Timmy was also the head writer for the critically-acclaimed web sketch series, Friday Nite Bytes.
