Children 3 and Under FreeNo dogs of ANY size allowed Presented by the Israeli-American Council (IAC) and with the generous support of Naty & Debbie Saidoff, Celebrate Israel Festival, the largest Jewish happening in Los Angeles, will take place on Sunday May 15, 2016 at Cheviot Hills Recreation Center (Rancho Park) located at 2551 Motor Ave. Los Angeles from 11am - 6pm. Over 15,000 community members will celebrate the State of Israel with live entertainment, interactive activities, culture, food & art. Regular Price is $10.00 each until May 14
At the door Price is $15.00 each This year's festival theme: ISRAEL: A Mosaic of Jewish Cultures Attendees will have the opportunity to explore various Jewish and Israeli ethnicities around the world and within Israel. Stop by the Eastern European, American, African and Middle Eastern pavilions and learn through art, food and music and participate in various hands-on projects while exploring and experiencing the different cultures. Main Stage Throughout the day, performances including Israeli mega star Rita and "Lokchim Et Hazman" including Roni Daloomi, Lee Biran and Eliana Tidhar and an official ceremony with local dignitaries that will be kicked off by an aerial show flyover at 3:15p.m. Enjoy multi-cultural entertainment showcasing Jewish culture around the world such as Russian dancers, Persian folk music, Kleizmer, Ethiopian drummers, local I singers and Israeli Folk Dance Company “Machol Lohet” sponsored by MATI. Kosher Food Enjoy traditional food and "street fare" that will inspire your next trip to Israel - all 100% Kosher! The Museum of the Jewish People (Beit Hatfuzot)Add your family to the genealogy database where over 5 million individuals have already been recorded in the continuously expanding database. Visitors from all backgrounds can explore their ancestry, record and preserve their own family trees for future generations, thus adding their own “branch” to the family tree of the Jewish People. World Market Take a stroll through the "World Market" where you can purchase art, jewelry, home goods, décor, gifts and Judaica from the artists arriving from Israel for the festival as well as local artists. Torah Pavilion Here you can learn the weekly parasha, participate in Torah lessons or take part in the Judaica arts & crafts pavilion where the whole family can have fun IAC Beer Garden - Sponsored by IAC Lead, Bina and JDate Stop by for drink, catch up with old friends and meet new ones at the (21+ w valid ID). Don't miss happy hour with FIDF, JNF and Jimena. CreateLAB Design, build, create and be inspired at our famous CreateLab, open all day with multiple FREE art projects for the entire family. Express yourself and enjoy arts and crafts with our entire community. Kid Zone Fun for the whole family! Enjoy high-energy entertainment throughout the day face painting, petting zoo, balloon art, fun amusement rides for the entire family, Kids Space Museum and so much more! Kids Stage A non-stop action packed stage will feature performances in Hebrew and English including a Feary Hunt and performances by artist from Israel "Gili Ba Levaker" and "Yaldut Israelit". Morrocan Tent – Looking for a place to rest and take it easy with some friends? Chill out at the Moroccan tent near the food pavilion.
