This class provides participants techniques and tips on coming out kinky. The workshop is based on the presenters former work with the LGBTQ community and coming out groups as well as her personal experience of coming out kinky while an appointed State official. Participants have ample opportunity to discuss a variety of issues about coming out to family, friends, co-workers and strangers. Personal, emotional and legal considerations are covered.

About the presenter:

Rebecca Blanton (aka Auntie Vice) holds a Ph.D. (ABD) in political psychology from CUNY, Graduate Center and a BA in Psychology from UC Davis. She taught government and leadership in the CUNY system. She has served as a policy expert for the State of California and was the appointed head of the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls. Blanton now works as a freelance writer and performer based in California. Her work focuses on elevating kink and BDSM and continuing to work towards a more just world. Her latest book, Love Letters to a Unicorn, was a finalist for the NLA-I nonfiction book of the year and is currently nominated for the Golden Flogger Award.
