Please join us as we celebrate the accomplishments of the Mesa Community College Paramedic Education Program Classes of 2016. The Department of Fire Sciences and EMS congratulate our 23 students whom have completed their rigorous twelve month program, which consisted of over 1400+ hours of classroom, lab, clinical and field internship training. A paramedic is a health care professional responsible for providing emergency medical assistance to patients while they are en route to the hospitals. They are often the first one at the scene of individuals suffering from illness or injury and are responsible for the initial assessment and subsequent treatment of a patient’s condition. The vast majority of paramedics in the United States work on an ambulance or fire apparatus and are the first responders in the event of an emergency. We are very proud of our graduates that they prepare to enter into the honorable profession of emergency medical services as Paramedics. Join us in wishing them healthy, happy, prosperous careers.
