Description
Experience the vibrant, youthful pianistic talents of 11-year-old Lauren Li from Dallas and 17-year-old Jennifer Pearson from Carrollton performing movements of W.A. Mozart’s Concerto in A Major, K.414 and F. J. Haydn’s Piano Concerto in D Major, Hob. VIII/11, accompanied by the Greater Texoma Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Ricky Duhaime, Austin College Mosher Professor of Music. Included in the evening’s concert will be the premiere of a new edition by Duhaime of Haydn’s Sinfonia (Overture) to his first Italian opera, Acide. Following an award ceremony highlighting the achievements of the young soloists, the GTO will conclude the evening with a performance of the engaging Symphony No. 29 in A Major, K.201, by Mozart. Come help us celebrate the talents of the next generation of musicians, with music that is certain to please and inspire. |
