With a very distinctive sound, Om Unit has already captured the minds of beat fanatics with his work to date. Style-wise you could say 'post-genre' or just 'electronic beats'. Genres are like borders, rapidly becoming obselete when we see the world today as having an ever-increasing merging of styles and influences. Put simply, it’s electronic music.

Jim Coles previously worked under the name 2tall, as a competitive DJ (DMC/ITF etc.), a live performer in the UK and Europe, working with turntable and samplers, and producer of several albums, including 2007's ‘Beautiful Mindz', a project put together with Dudley Perkins and Georgia Anne Muldrow. Other albums include  'Shifting Tides' (2004) and 'The Softer Diagram' (2008). Beyond that, his work with Dented Records led to productions and collaborations with UK rap acts, such as Foreign Beggars, Jehst, Kashmere and Kyza, as well as production and turntablist work on the ‘United Colours of Beggatron’ album.

Dj Trace is one of UK DnB's most innovative and respected artists. He has been Dj-ing and producing since the early 90's and has toured the world many times over playing his distinctive and ground breaking style of Drum and Bass. One of Trace's mid 90's remixes entitled "The Mutant Remix", is widely believed to be the creation of the "Tech-Step" genre in DnB. He recorded on many labels, Deejay Recordings, Lucky Spin, No U Turn & Prototype before founding DSCI4 Records in 1999 which saw many ground breaking releases and compilations... As well as working in DnB, Dj Trace has also turned his hand to many other genre's including deep house and breakbeat, the latter alongside long time collaborator and co-producer, Pete Voyager. In more recent times, Trace and Voyager have set up the production pseudonym "2D33P" and are continuing to co-write and produce DnB for Trace's new label 117 and other labels. The Forbidden Codes LP compilation on 117 featuring various artists is due for release early 2014.
