At the age 57 Long Island wife, mother and music teacher Jeanne Marino started her new career writing comedy shows featuring parodies of the songs we all know and love. Past shows include "Welcome To My Midlife Crisis", 'You're Not A Jerk Miss Jeanne", 'Life Is A Cabernet", "Sixty Is The New Eighty", "Straight From My Hips To My Thighs", and "A Very Merry Meltdown." These shows were well received on Long Island and Jeanne has developed quite a following. Long Island Newsday profiled her in their "Act Two" section with a cover story about her shows.
Jeanne performs with some of the best musicians NY has to offer including her musical director and bassist Madeline Kole, pianist and arranger Richard Iacona, drummer Kenny Hassler and back up vocalists "The Cabernets" (pronounced cab- er- NETS) Valerie Pezzulo and Joanna Durante. Jeanne is performing her New York City debut at the Duplex with her latest show, "It's My Parody And I'll Swear If I Want To."
