DeAnne Smith and Jess Salomon, two of Canada’s most accomplished and exciting comedians, return to The Duplex with their “Girl on Girl on Girl” stand up show. Five years after their last, sold out, performance these two have been busy!

 

DeAnne Smith, the show’s headliner, has appeared on CBC’s “The Late Late Show”, NBC’s “Last Comic Standing”, the Just for Laughs Festival, and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. She’s won a Canadian Comedy Award for best stand up comedian and just come off a headlining run at Just For Laughs 42 in Toronto. Oh and she also just released an acclaimed comedy album called, “Tell it to my balls!”

 

Jess Salomon, the show’s host, has been touring Canadian and American comedy clubs, appeared in the Just for Laughs Festival, San Francisco Sketchfest, the Laughing Skull Festival and the CinderBlock Festival. She also recently taped a television Gala for CBC (that’s like the Canadian BBC!). She is now a proud Green Card holder and new NYC resident which she got by marrying Muslim-Palestinian-Canadian comedian, Eman El-Husseini. Guys, Eman wasn’t even gay before! Again, Jess has been very busy.

 

Joining Jess and DeAnne, is wait for it … Eman El-Husseini. Of course it is! Eman has a slew of comedy credits like the Just for Laughs Festival, a half hour comedy special on the Comedy Network (that’s Canadian Comedy Central!), and a new album out called, “Unveiled”. She also happens to be so good at comedy that the US Government let her into the country because of her jokes, EVEN THOUGH SHE IS A MUSLIM.
