Halloween takes place in October, but Tap-O-Ween is safely reserved for January. Tap-O-Ween is an original all-new show presented by students, guests and dance colleagues of Howard Blume. Most performances of past shows ("Friends on Tap," "TAP-estry," and "TAPitalism") have sold out, so please buy your tickets early. Rhapsody in Taps star Aaron Pardini will have a featured role and audience favorite Hannah Blume will return from Pittsburgh. The magician Fitzgerald also will reappear. Other featured guests and students at all levels will participate. The rollicking fun includes ordinary, beaten-down workers transformed into masked night creatures for just one night, spirits rising from the grave for one last jig and a dancing duel over a golden tap shoe between the devil and his would-be victim. Musical selections will include works by Oscar Peterson, Glenn Miller, Herb Alpert, Jelly Roll Morton, Electric Light Orchestra, the Charlie Daniels Band, Duke Ellington and a composition by local jazz piano maestro Mark Davidson. There will also be a tap dancing version of Michael Jackson's Thriller. There will be four shows: Saturday, Jan. 14, at 2:30 pm and 8 pm and Sunday, Jan. 15, at noon and 5:30 pm. Reserved seats are $15 and $20. General admission seats are $10. Tickets are $15 at the door. Items Not Allowed
