Famed Photographer David McChesney to exhibit at the Diamond Valley Arts
Center, located at 123 N. Harvard St., Hemet Ca 92543. The Show entitled “Wild
Desert” presents striking images of desert life. A “Meet The Artist” Reception
will take place on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 4:00pm. The reception will be your
opportunity to ask questions and hear David’s story first hand.
The celebrated nature/ wildlife photographer and author is a former advanced photo instructor for the Desert Institute at Joshua Tree National Park. His work has been published around the globe and is seen in national parklands and wildlife refuges, in museums, at the National Park Gallery at the Interior Dept. in Washington D.C. and the Capitol Building in Sacramento. David's images have been used to protect and preserve wildlife corridors and many wildlife species such as Desert Tortoise, Bobcat, Bighorn Sheep, Whooping Cranes of Texas and the wild horses of Arizona's Salt River.
Honored as the Morongo Basin Cultural Contributor of the Year by the Basin Wide Foundation {2015), he produces the largest line of American Birdlife cards in the country and has photographed 55 of 59 American national parks. His images were marketed by Getty Images, Planet Earth Pictures and Colorific before moving to Joshua Tree in 2001 to self-market his imagery. The author of Muir Roots: At One with the Wild and The Mojave Desert: Miles of Wonder, McChesney is also a national harmonica champion. He includes music in all his presentations and performs as 'Hurricane' David as he travels the country. "I love where I live and love what I do," he says. "It is a blessing to be able to share my art forms with others while enjoying so much of the country's beauty and natural treasures." Items Not Allowed
