Description
"Triptych", by Canadian composer Elizabeth Knudson is the featured piece on this varied program. Based on Hieronymus Bosch's "Garden of Earthly Delights", each of the movements is inspired by a different area of this painter's masterwork. Vivaldi's 2 violin concerto in A minor RV523 and Carlo Tessarini's lively Overture from "La Stravangaza" precede Robert Fuchs Serenade No. 1. This fresh serenade, cast in five concise movements exhibits lyrical melodies, graceful dances, a playful scherzo and a high-spirited finale!
