Basics of Puppetry – In this class we will learn all the basics of puppetry techniques (including lip-sync, eye focus, movement, acting, scene work and characterization) using real puppets. Students will have the opportunity to learn what it takes to be a puppeteer, using puppets similar to the ones used in Avenue Q and The Muppets. Techniques learned here are directly applicable to stage performances, such as those seen in MTOC’s summer production of “The Little Mermaid”.  Students will have the opportunity for perform in the MTOC Showcase on November 18^th.
