Dane Terry is a storyteller, composer and writer. In an early showing of his newest story for the stage, Terry shows us the strange solitary life of Remo, a man who lives in an abandoned skyscraper with a holographic host with whom he has a complicated past.
After premiering in New York at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club in April 2015, his theatrical song-cycle Bird in the House went on to be presented at The Public Theater as part of the Under The Radar Festival’s INCOMING! series. Terry has also performed at Lincoln Center, A.R.T.'s Oberon in Cambridge MA, Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati OH and The Wexner Center in Columbus OH. This show is being commissioned by Performance Space 122 as part of its emerging artists program, Ramp, with support from the Jerome Foundation and the Rockefeller Brothers Foundation. Dane Terry is the 2016 recipient of PS122's Ethyl Eichelberger Award. This show is also being developed at Afterglow Theater Festival (Sept 2017) and at BAX through a Summer Space grant.
Dane Terry is the millennial Cole Porter. He's got the hooks of Elton John, the jokes of Tom Waits and the heart of Leonard Cohen."

"immediately spellbinding on stage. The songwriting is at such high level. "
- David Cale, Writer/Composer/Performer
"Look, this guy is fucking incredible, as a songwriter, a lyricist, and a multi-instrumentalist. He could be the next Elton John, the next Mark Eitzel, the next Randy Newman, and he has the potential to best all three."
