Description

The theme of our 2017-2018 season explores various aspects of the Power of Music. In October we performed music that referenced or resulted from the political forces of the times.  At Christmas we heard and "Celebrated" the Power of Music.  Our repertoire here, focused on the Spiritual aspects of the power of music, will include the beautiful Chichester Psalms, sung in Hebrew, commissioned for an English cathedral, and written by American composer Leonard Bernstein. We celebrate Bernstein’s life and music in the centenary (1918) year of his birth. Our ecumenical concert will also include Psalm settings in many religious traditions.

Finally, we will hear how various dimensions of "harmony" contribute to:
