Welcome to Vegan Iron Chef (VIC), San Francisco edition!!

Just like the original hit TV Show Iron Chef we’ve veganized it and created our own local version; which has become a wildly popular, live event held annually in the Bay Area.

Each year we like to spice things up (pun intended) by introducing unique obstacles to the contestants, like a secret ingredients or all mystery ingredients. And this year we’re changing it up once again:

Have you ever watched Chopped or Iron Chef on TV and thought, “I could totally do that!” Well then you’re going to LOVE the 2015 San Fran VIC where we’re pitting Home Chefs against Pro Chefs.

This year’s theme: handheld foods

How It Works:

3 rounds, 1 winner!

Round 1 - Home Chef Bijal vs Pro Chef Maria

Round 2 - Home Chef Charlie vs Pro Chef Kevin

Round 3 - Winner against winner, from each round

Event Timeline:

Doors open at 6:30PM for $75 ticket holders (doors open at 6:45pm for everyone else)

• Enjoy a pre-competition reception with hors d’oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverage

• Tommy from Field Roast will be playing double duty - preparing tasty pre-competition appetizers before sitting on the judges panel during the competition.

Competition starts at 7:15PM

• Grab a seat and watch our chefs go head-to-head as our host, Chef Lisa Brooks-Williams (winner of our very first VIC event) takes the stage to guide us through.

Competition after-party

• Enjoy music and snacks while mingling with the other attendees, the competitors, and the competition judges - Lacey from Field Roast, Colleen Holland of VegNews Magazine, and Kristin Lajeunesse of Will Travel for Vegan Food.
