Description
Love musical duos? All of Hemet will be treated to a benefit concert that features the most uncommon matching of musical talent that has ever appeared on one stage in Hemet. Prepare to be captivated by these four professional musicians: Hanne Helledie (piano), Frances Moore (violin), Mikael Sandgren (piano and vocals), and Lola Gayle (vocals). On Sunday, April 8th at 3 pm, those four phenomenal musicians will perform at the Diamond Valley Arts Center (DVAC) at 123 North Harvard Street in Hemet's historic Harvard District. The Helledie-Moore Piano-Violin Duo has performed extensively in Denmark, Canada, and the US. They will present a unique blend of flamenco, bossa nova, jazz, and classical music. The second duo, MiLO, features piano and vocals from Mikael Sandgren and Lola Gayle. Their audiences in Sweden, Jamaica, Africa, and the US have been intrigued by their hybrid of pop melodies, odd meters, gritty arrangements, and vintage Blue Note era vocals. Both of these two dynamic duos are eager to perform at the benefit concert on Sunday, April 8th. Proceeds from ticket sales will support MUSICA, the San Jacinto Valley Youth Orchestra. Both duos desire to pass along their passion and knowledge of music to a new generation of musicians in our valley. General admission is $20. All tickets are available at www.thedvac.org or by stopping by The DVAC Wednesdays through Saturdays 11 am to 5 pm. The concert begins at 3:00 pm, but doors open about 2:30 pm. Parking on Harvard Street and in the Hemet City Lot is free. WineItems Not Allowed
