What is culture? If you and I are from the same place, does that mean we share the same culture? Are my experiences with everyone in my culture the same? Or is it different with intersecting similarities? Can culture change throughout generations? To someone who doesn’t know, all Caribbean countries may seem the same. They may classify all of us as Jamaican, but that is untrue because all have different cultures. The food, music, and experiences we have had shape us into who we are, and to me this is our story: our culture. All of our stories are different because we are all individuals, and on June 9th, we will be gathering together at the Underground Concert Series to witness artists tell their stories. Each artist has something important that they want to share from their culture, so let join us as we embrace something different. Someone else’s story. The essence of their culture. Items Not Allowed
