...Originally from Japan. Studied at Koyo Conservatory in Kobe and moved to LA. His appearance includes many jazz clubs and festivals such as Catalina Bar & Grill, Blue Note, Arizona Jazz Festival etc... His 1st CD, Vegas Drive features LA's great artist includes Barbara Morrison & Patrice Rushen etc and his songs are played on radio stations in US, Europe and Japan. He is also knows as a leader of Japanese Fusion group, Minyo Station. performed/recorded with.... Billy Mitchell, Barbara Morrison, Patrice Rushen, Eric Marienthal, Michael Paulo, Garrett Morris, Janice Johnson(Taste of Honey), Freda Payne, Lenny Castro, Munyungo Jackson, Arno Lucas, Dr. Bobby Rodriguez & name a few etc Richard Taylor - Bass & Vocal ...Has sung Rigoletto in Rigoletto with San Jose Opera, Leporello in Don Giovanni with Nevada Opera, Porgy in Porgy & Bess with Houston Grand Opera and Scarpia in Tosca among others. He was a soloist in Carnegie Hall in Faure Requiem and Mozart Requiem. Toured Asia singing Elijah with the Pacific Chorale. As a bassist he has performed or recorded with Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, H. B. Barnum, Kenny Lattimore , Marlena Shaw, Booker T Jones,(Booker T and the MG's), Ollie Woodson, Les McCann, Branford Marsalis, Marcus Belgrave, Clarence McDonald and Barbara Morrison to name a few.
