Dana Friedman (The Stand)
Jess Fleischer
Jess
is originally from Long Island, where she attended Orthodox Jewish
schools until college, when she finally got to wear pants. She loves to
talk onstage about religion, dead babies, and the miserable female
sexual experience – anything to make the audience feel comfortable.
She’s performed at a bunch of festivals, including the Boston Comedy
Festival, the Hoboken Comedy Festival, and the She-Devil Comedy
Festival, and in a bunch of basements across New York City.
Chani Lisbon
Chani Lisbon has performed at Westside Comedy Club, Gotham and The Stand.
She
was brought up in a sheltered, Orthodox Jewish home, and was in her
twenties before she met someone who was queer. That person turned out to
be her.
Jordon Ferber
Jordon Ferber is one of the
must-see acts in New York; his unique style and ironic take on life is
refreshing and always hilarious. Jordon was featured on the first season
of Last Comic Standing, has performed at nearly every NYC venue,
including the Gotham Comedy Club, Carolines and MSG’s Comedy Garden, and
is a regular performer at clubs throughout the Northeast, including
Mohegan Sun. He is the producer of the podcast, Where’s The Grief?,
featuring interviews with comedians and other performers focusing on the
ups and downs of dealing with tragic loss. In his spare time, Jordon
enjoys writing short blurbs about himself in the third person.
Cher Landman
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Cher knew from an early age that her life was not going to be cookie cutter.
Cher
left Texas in early 2000s to follow her dreams of becoming a fashion
designer. Although fashion remains a passion for Cher, her engaging
personality and quipped sense of comedic timing lead to a friends
encouragement to pursue standup.
Cher’s work has been featured on
Comedians on the Loose, Too Old to Date Podcast and she co-produces a
monthly show in Brooklyn called “The Chani and Cher Show”. She is also a
frequent performer on Gotham Comedy Club's New Talent showcases.
Dan Abraham
Dan
Abraham is a stand up comic based in NYC. Dan has performed
internationally, and has credits including winning the 2016 Stand Up
Showdown at The PIT, the Harlem Comedy festival, and is a regular
performer at The Comic Strip Live and Gotham Comedy Club. Dan's monthly
comedy show New Neighbors was awarded an Editor's Choice in This Week in
Comedy, and he has appeared on podcasts including The David Feldman
Show and Keith and the Girl. He is also the producer and developer
behind We Need to Talk, an interactive web-based comedy sketch featured
in the Huffington Post. His first novel, New Ape Idea, is due to be
published this fall.
Dana Friedman
Dana Friedman is, in
all likelihood, New York's first Orthodox Jewish, transsexual comic. Her
performances address a wide variety of topics, including many outside
the very unusual norms of standup comedy.
She is the producer of
Queernucopia An Evening of LGBT and Allied Comedy Goddesses and Heathens
, and Right Down The Middle (East), (no missionaries, just funny
positions), which brings together Muslim, Jewish, Israeli, Arab, and
Palestinian standup comics.
She has appeared with or opened for
Janeane Garofalo, Lizz Winstead, Yanis Pappas, Christian Finnegan, Julia
Scotti, and other major headliners at clubs and theaters all over the
New York tri-state area, and occasionally beyond, when her parole
officer is on vacation.
