Now and Then is Michael
Marano's latest cabaret show, where he sings a collection of classic
tunes and tells some interesting stories along with special guest star
Kelli Rabke. The show is directed by Andy Gale, with John Fischer as
music director.
Marano performed his first cabaret
show "Eternal Love" which was one of his first shows after over a thirty
year hiatus right here at the Duplex, and has now recently appeared in
the Pocono mountains in numerous plays and musicals including Starring
as Jack DeCarlo in "One More for My Baby" and as King Herod in "Jesus
Christ Superstar" at the Shawnee Playhouse. As Charlie Cowell, “The
Music Man”; Mr. Feldzieg, “The Drowsy Chaperone”; and Herr Schultz,
“Cabaret" as well as Herman in "Sweet Charity" at Theatrical Gems in
the Poconos.
Kelli Rabke, is from West Orange, New Jersey, and
her breakout role was Dorothy in Paper Mill’s “The Wizard of Oz.” She
later returned to Paper Mill, playing Yonah in “Children of Eden.” Her
Broadway roles include the Narrator in “Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat” and Eponine in “Les Misérables.”
On
television, Rabke played the recurring role of Bernadette in 1993 on
“The Young and the Restless.” In addition, she provided the voice of Kat
on the animated “Kenny the Shark,” which ran on NBC’s Discovery Kids
from 2003-2005. After taking time away from show business to start a
family, Rabke returned to the stage with “No Place Like Home,” her
cabaret debut and now performs in many cabaret venues and with
orchestra's around the country.
