Explore exotic locations, stand on the highest peaks and be part of the gripping tales that make this year’s Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour. This year's Films: Rouge Elements: Corbet's Couloir - 4 minutes This year's best opening film. Short and punchy with a great backing track. Fast Horse - 14 A well made film about First Nations bareback horse racing. Festures a really exciting finish. The Beaver Believers - 12 A terrific little environment film featuring an unlikely eco-warrior and several cute co-stars. For the Love of Mary - 6 This year's best nonagenarian just can't stop running up mountains. This Mountain Life - 38 A mother/daughter team take on the massive challenge of traversing the entire B.C. Coast Mountain Range on skis. This is a very inspiring and beautifully shot film that has been receiving great response from audiences. Intermission and prize draw Far Out: Kai Jones: - 4 A fun, high-energy film to kick off the second half. Kids love it. Brotherhood of Skiing - 10 - A cheerful retrospective on the African Ameriacan ski experience. Choices - 3 - A quick hit of mountain biking energy before the longest film in the second half. Reel Rock 12: Break On Through - 26 - 20 year old Margo Hayes breaks barriers in this well made rock climbing film. The Frenchy - 13 - This year's favourite film character leaves audience members smiling on the way out the door. |
