Description
Join Melissa McGuire, best known for her tell-all autobiographical cabaret shows, on a historical journey through a century of feminism in musical theatre. From Dorothy Gale, the Kansas farm girl, of "The Wizard of Oz" in 1939 to Alison Bechdel, the lesbian graphic novelist protagonist, of "Fun Home" in 2014, Broadway has a history of putting strong and independent women centerstage. Also starring the feminist divas, Paulette Oliva and Lauren Gulliver Travers. Written and conceived by Melissa McGuire with musical direction by Tony Bellomy and direction by Larry Gabbard.
