Do we feel weird or shameful about being honest in the moment? Are we using it as a cover to protect ourselves from having to deal with the things we haven’t dealt with ourselves? Or are we actually just too busy to have taken the time to know what the real answer is? Patrick Thompson is a songwriter from Wisconsin. He has a Master’s Degree in Musical Theatre Writing from NYU-Tisch.
