Geek Bowl 2020

With special guests They Might Be Giants.

Our 14th annual cash-prize quiz will descend upon the Windy City itself, Chicago, Illinois. This event frequently sells out and has sold out 4 years in a row.

Quiz starts promptly at 7:00 PM; doors at 5:30 PM.

Compete against Geeks Who Drink quiz teams from US, Canada, Great Britain, and beyond.

Cash prizes will be awarded to at least the top three teams!

The Aon Grand Ballroom is located at the end of Chicago’s Navy Pier at 840 E Grand Avenue, Chicago, IL, 60611

Team size is limited to six players and tickets must be purchased six at a time. Seating is on a first-sold, first-served basis.

Bring a valid photo ID for alcohol purchase.  ID will be checked at the door, no one under 21 years old will be allowed to purchase alcohol.  This event is 18+.

THE BASICS

Geek Bowl 2020 is an 8-round quiz with 8 questions per round. Rounds will vary in content format and point allocation may vary by question.

The maximum number of players allowed on a team is six.

The quiz will be broken up to allow time for breaks.

Doors open at 5:30pm, the quiz starts promptly at 7:00pm.

All teams must complete registration prior to March 6th. Registration will be completed via webform.

Very Entitled Geek (VEG) tickets available for $750 per team, Standard (no/minor obstruction) tickets are available for $450 per team, Standard (minor/partial obstruction) tickets are available for $390 per team, Standard (full obstruction) tickets are available for $270 per team.  All purchases include a table and 6 chairs.

There are 21 (126 people) VEG  table tickets.  VEG tickets are guaranteed to sit in the first two rows at a larger, 48" round table with 6 chairs at each table.

There are 171 (1026 people) Standard (NO or MINOR obstruction) table tickets.  Standard (no or minor obstruction) tickets are 36" round tables with 6 chairs at each table.

There are 12 (72) Standard (PARTIAL obstruction) table tickets. Standard (partial obstruction) tickets are 36" round tables with 6 chairs at each table.  Standard (partial obstruction) seats  may have a partial obstruction but clear view to at least one screen broadcasting a stage feed and questions.

There are 22 (132 people) Standard (FULL obstruction) tickets.  Standard (full obstruction) tables are 36" round tables with 6 chairs at each table.  Standard (full obstruction) seats will have a heavily or completely obstructed stage view but but clear view to at least one screen broadcasting a stage feed and questions.

No Spectator tickets will be available.

Ticket sales will close at 11:59pm, Friday, March 7th 2018.  Tickets WILL NOT be available at the door.
