Every year in the US, approximately 5.3M to 6.5M dogs and cats enter shelters, and over 1.5M don't make it out alive. For those who are adopted out, it's estimated that approximately half are returned due to various issues including medical, financial, behavioral, and even simply due to their families deciding that they just don't want the
animals any longer. This HAS to stop. R.A.I.S. feels that awareness and education are the keys to drastically changing our society's understanding of and relationships with companion animals. So, starting with dogs, one way that we aim to tackle these issues is by hosting events and what better way to kick things off than with a mouth-watering Eat and Greet?! Please join us for our very first event at Soro's Mediterranean Grill in Old Town Temecula for a delicious plant-based buffet, a silent auction full of awesome goodies, and a fur-filled evening with fellow dog lovers! The Saving Huey Foundation will be there to share what it's like in the rescue world and introduce a few of their adoptable dogs and local dog trainer/behaviorist, Dogs Gone Sane, will provide some very valuable information about how to communicate with our canine companions and build strong, healthy relationships with them, as well as demonstrate some awesome training techniques! Unfortunately, we won't be admitting outside pups to this event but some of our future events will definitely be dog-friendly so keep an eye out...we'd love to meet your pups in the future!

Please be aware that the buffet starts at 6pm and food is limited...be sure to be on time to try it all! :) Also, 100% of the proceeds from the silent auction will go directly to The Saving Huey Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, to help them continue providing medical treatment and rehabilitation for animals in need. <3
