The tribe has chosen its sacrifice. You chant with them. You dance with them. You feel an excitement you haven't felt before. You can feel the breeze as it hits the beads of anxious sweat rolling down your arms. You feel a prickling pulse spreading from your nose and across your face. You begin to look around, frantically searching for the subject of the occasion. Whose blood will be let to appease the horde? A sudden shock jolts across your body. A warm rush runs down your neck. The crowd lets out a cry of catharsis, a mixture of anger and joy but ultimately a relief. You go to join them, but the air refuses to flow from you. You claw at your throat, the ancient celebration of lights and music fades from your experience.
