Understanding the Science of Addiction Treatment and Recovery This course is intended to introduce the participant to the major theories and approaches of addiction treatment and recovery. Participants will consider addictions and case examples from a variety of theoretical perspectives. Science-based approaches to addiction treatment and recovery will highlighted and explored. This course will examine addictions from biological, psychological, social and spiritual domains. Additionally, individual, family, and cultural perspectives will be explored. This course will emphasize familiarity with the current research in the addictions counseling field. Additional Information
