Supervision is a vital piece of effective and
ethical peer recovery support services. This introspective one-day training
explores the role, scope of practice and ethical dimensions of peer recovery
supports to ensure those attending grasp the intricacies of the role they may
be supervising. As the training progresses, we explore aspects and structure of
supervision. We will dissect what challenges may arise from supervising peers.
Best practice around hiring and interviewing will be reviewed. All participants
will leave this training with a peer recovery support supervision personal plan
of action to utilize based upon their strengths and methods to strengthen areas
of improvement. This training provides 6 ICAADA approved CEU’s for all whom
complete the training.
Registration begins at 8:30am Training 9:00am-4:30pm (lunch will NOT be provided) Additional Information
Seats are limited so please reserve your seat. Failure to attend, after RSVP (without prior written notification to IAPRSS at jbeattey@mhai.net), may result in loss of eligibility to attend future IAPRSS training's and events.
