Our main event Women in the Arts will take place on Sunday, March 8 which will consist of two-parts: the first part being a panel of female artists discussing the current landscape and role of women in art, followed by, a poetry reading by some of the most vanguardist female voices of our city. We will also be showcasing art pieces by female artists. Arts PanelPanelists share their experience and expertise as female artists in today's climate. The panel will focus on the role of women in the arts and their impact for social change. Poetry ReadingWomen of diverse backgrounds will share their creativity in response to this year’s theme, #EachforEqual. Visual Arts ExhibitWomen of distinct cultural and creative backgrounds will display their work. Children Speak Out Exhibit Your Shero? An International Collection of artwork from Girls under 13. As part of IATI's celebration of women's month, IATI Theater is highlighting some of the future women of the world. This installation piece displays their work and creativity in response to "who is your shero". It will be available for public viewing from March 8th through the end of March 2020. |
