Please join operamission for a Countertenor Cabaret on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 9:30 PM at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre, 61 Christopher Street (at Seventh Avenue). operamission hosts some of the world's finest and most distinguished operatic countertenors in a richly diverse program. From the earliest baroque gems through some of the most recently-created musical moments, from Bach to Sondheim, from recitatives to show tunes, a dozen singers offer their individual specialties. Stars such as Daniel Bubeck (English National Opera, Los Angeles Philharmonic), Ray Chenez (2014 George London Award Winner), Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen (Theater an der Wien, Il Complesso Barocco), Nicholas Tamagna (Händel-Festspiele, Opéra Royal de Versailles), and many more, will be joined by conductor Jennifer Peterson at the piano. operamission (http://operamission.org) is in its sixth season of presenting operas, concerts, and an annual cabaret evening to New York audiences. With three down and 36 to go, director Jennifer Peterson is producing the complete output of G. F. Handel's operas in order, at the same time commissioning and developing new operas, and bringing composers-of-all-ages' visions directly to audiences in innovative ways, such as the 2010 interactive presentation of 'Così fan tutte: Some Assembly Required' which gained operamission national press attention. $10 Ticket & a 2 Drink Minimum in the Cabaret Theatre Items Not Allowed
