Description

In Kate Hamill's adaptation of Little Women, Louisa May Alcott's novel is presented with a fresh, modern perspective while remaining faithful to the classic story. At the height of the American Civil War, young Jo March grapples with society's expectations of her as a woman, with her own dreams of becoming a great writer, on her own terms. Navigating the turmoil of life in a nation divided, as well as facing the important decisions that come with adulthood, Hamill's depiction of the March family and their world is uniquely theatrical, delightfully moving, and immensely relevant for audiences in the world today.
