Add this one to the page: As you all know La Soufrière volcano on the island of Saint Vincent erupted on April 9, 2021. The eruption was so explosive that the plumes traveled to nearby islands such as Barbados. Saint Vincent, which is known for its beautiful beaches and luscious landscape, is now covered in thick ash. This eruption has taken a serious toll on the island, displacing over 16000 of it’s inhabitants. Many experienced power outages and currently there is a limited water supply. The extent of the damage has yet to be assessed because the island is extremely unsafe. On Thursday April 29, we are hosting a fundraiser to send monetary donations and supplies to the displaced inhabitants of the island. News coverage of the eruption and its effects has been limited, so we are hoping to host this event to bring attention to what happened on the island of Saint Vincent. Please join us. Admission is donation based. We will have live performances from artists who are supporting this fundraiser. We will also have other forms of entertainment. Please share this page.
