Description

Oral storytelling and rich history are woven through the fabric of spirituals. The American Spiritual Ensemble has a mission to preserve the incredible legacy and share the meaning of the American Negro spiritual. This critically acclaimed professional group is composed of some of the finest singers in the classical music genre, and these vocalists have thrilled audiences around the world with their dynamic renditions of classic spirituals. Each member of the ensemble is a soloist in their own right, and they mesmerize patrons with these spirituals accented by jazz and Broadway numbers that highlight the Black experience.
