Olympia High School Theatre Arts Presents Winter Break by Joe Calarco Winter Break is presented by special arrangement by with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York. It is the first night of Winter Break, school is out, and a group of teenagers who all attend the same high school are left to their own devices. Some of them know each other and are great friends. Others are strangers. As they find themselves on different places in their journeys, they are all wrestling with what it means to be human: dealing with loss, love, graduation, free time, the unknown, and friendship - both complicated and comforting. In the end, they each realize that they are better together. Winter Break was selected as a 2020 Educational Theatre Association commissioned play. We are so proud to be one of the first schools in Washington to present this absolutely brilliant moving look at the complexities of modern teenage life. Two different casts. Two unique performances. One beautiful show. Doors will open at 7 PM. Tickets will also be available at the door beginning at 6:30 PM.
