Description
The
Windham Inn is an 18th-century building at a crossroad in Windham Center, CT. In June of 1745 a young single woman, Elizabeth Shaw, delivered a living male bastard child. She abandoned the child which perished. Elizabeth was tried and although pleading "Not Guilty" she was condemned to hang by the neck until dead. On December 18th, 1745 she rode the mile to the scaffold seated on her coffin, crying aloud to be saved, but was never the less hung. In the years since many occupants of the inn have claimed to see a ghostly vision - a flash of white or a white woman searching for something. The Eastern Connecticut Paranormal Society will reveal some impressive findings after their visit to this historic Windham Center Inn - Join us for Exciting News. Additional Information
