TKO Entertainment, Inc. proudly announces Toshi Cappuccino’s latest New York Cabaret Show: “Solo Standup + JPOP.” In his 27 years as a Japanese transplant to New York, Toshi has survived discrimination, the English language, scandal, gossip and intrigue in the local Japanese community, excessive drinking, becoming a US citizen, an international marriage that makes “I Love Lucy” look conservative, interAsian hatreds, and US vs Japanese airline service, all on the way to becoming the Dog Poop Sheriff of West 163rd Street. Get ready for plenty of oversharing as Toshi recalls his adventures in the fishbowl of New York City’s Japanese village and beyond. Oh, and all this will be interrupted by outbreaks of J-Pop favorites as well as an American favorite or two. Toshi Cappuccino has appeared at the Duplex 30 times since March 2013. His musical performances there have consistently sold out. This show is written, produced, directed and performed by Toshi Cappuccino. A native of Hakata, he is an entertainer, critic, producer, TV personality, and a voter for the New York Drama Desk Awards.
