SynopsisTwo fishermen, a father and a son, live at the base of a lighthouse next to a cold windy beach. One morning, hundreds of thousands of refugees appear on the shore. The son wants to help them, but the father forbids it; still, the son comes into contact with them. The appearance of the foreigners awakens the call of adventure in the son, challenging the authority of the father. Around them, a mysterious character, The Sandwoman, will reopen the wounds of the past... Tramontana evokes the Spanish exile in 1939, from the perspective of the host country, France. The work, however, resonates in the exiles of the present, starting from the most essential conflict: the struggle between selfishness and solidarity, when an entire people needs our help. This reading will be performed in Spanish. CIMIENTOS presents texts with visionary craftsmanship. At the core of the program, Cimientos aims to curate work that is diverse and inclusive.
