Description

In Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot, we encounter two individuals who are waiting for the arrival of a man named Godot. They don’t know when, or if, he’ll arrive, or if they’re even at the right place, but while they wait, they talk about their lives, their experiences, and their expectations. They also encounter two visitors who pass through and provide a brief diversion. This play is considered a tour de force of the mid-20th century dramatic movement called the Theatre of the Absurd that explored the nature of our humanity after the two World Wars.
