Description

Marta Szlubowska, Polish-American violinist and former concertmaster of the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra (2005-2022), will collaborate with pianist and PSC faculty member, Benjamin Rollings, on two favorite masterworks of the violin and piano literature: the monumental and emotionally-charged 'Kreutzer' Sonata No. 9 for violin and piano by Beethoven and Prokofiev's riveting Violin Sonata No. 2 in D Major. The program will also include the exotically beautiful and haunting Song of Roxane by renowned Polish composer Karol Szymanowski.
