Description
The 23rd season begins with music in honor of Queen Elizabeth I.
Hear madrigals by Thomas Morley and other Elizabethan composers
written to honor Elizabeth (affectionately known as Oriana), ensemble
and solo songs by 17th-century composer and lutenist John Dowland,
and 20th-century “Choral Dances” from Gloriana (another term of
affection) by Benjamin Britten. Enjoy an evening of Elizabethan
music, dance, and a special appearance by “Queen Elizabeth.”
