CSUSB Wind Conducting and Teaching Symposium Description
If you love music, love teaching music, and have limited time and resources, then the "Teaching Wind Band and Conducting" Workshop at CSUSB is the place for you to be this May. One day is devoted to your personal and professional growth. You will join other music educators from across the region for workshops, discussions, and rehearsals designed to help re-energize your school year with an infusion of new ideas and enthusiasm in the lives of your students. The workshop will focus on issues that confront music educators at all levels: choice of repertoire, effective rehearsal and conducting techniques, instrumental pedagogy, and other important topics. An important component of the workshop is the series of rehearsals in the CSUSB Band Room. All workshop participants are required to bring their instruments (or stick bags) so we can make music together as members of the workshop wind ensemble. Please note that this workshop is being held in The Performing Arts Building, Band Room, PA 127. |
