AZ FluteFest  at MCC 

June 24, 2023

MCC Performing Arts Center

 

The AZ FluteFest at MCC on Saturday, June 24th features multiple performances, masterclasses, and presentations during the day along with exhibitors including Muramatsu Flutes and Milano Music. The renowned flutist and piccoloist Sarah Jackson of the Los Angeles Philharmonic will present classes and perform an evening concert with pianist Gail Novak. The FluteFest includes performances by Michelle Stolper, Principal Flute of the West Valley Symphony and Abby Coffey, First Prize winner of the 2019 National Flute Association’s Piccolo Orchestral Audition and Masterclass Competition. The Desert Echoes Flute Octet features a preview of their program for the National Flute Association Convention, and the Caliendo Duo presents a program of original works for flute & guitar by Christopher Caliendo. Dr. Joshua Gardner will give a live ultrasound presentation, and there will be offerings including presentations by Christopher Caliendo and Riley Brasse. AZ FluteFest is only $50 ($35 for full-time students at the box office with ID) and includes the 7:30pm evening concert. The evening concert only is $15.
