JENNIFER PORTER
With her new album, EASY LIVING, from Grammy-winning producer Lawrence Manchester, now featured on dozens of radio stations across the United States and abroad, including KJAZZ in Los Angeles, WWOZ in New Orleans, Jazz London Radio, and Public Radio International’s Jazz After Hours, SRT’s own “musician’s musician” once again brings her singular versatility to our stage. Jennifer will be joined by the incomparable Sonny Barbato on piano, with regional greats Jim Lyden (bass) Les Harris, Jr. (drums) Matt Langely (saxophones) Trent Austin (trumpets) Jason Anick (violin) and others. With her one-in-a-million voice, and warm, easygoing presence, Jennifer never fails to entertain, thrill, and inspire. Be sure to make reservations early for this very special evening!
“Blessed with a beautiful voice and an infectious musical spirit...Jennifer simply swings, does not waste a note, and every sound she creates is lovely... (She) always uplifts the classic material she sings, making it sound both timeless and new.” –Scott Yannow, author of The Jazz Singers
“The singing, the musicianship, are outstanding!” – Bob Collins, Jazz Producer, WRHU, New York
