More on our guest conductor: Eugene Migliaro Corporon, the conductor of the Wind Symphony and Regents Professor of Music at the University of North Texas, is a highly esteemed figure in the field. With a career spanning six decades, he has held positions at renowned institutions and conducted ensembles worldwide. As an influential figure in wind studies, his expertise and dedication have earned praise from colleagues, composers, and music critics. He has an extensive discography with over 1,000 recordings, including premieres and commissions. Professor Corporon is also an accomplished author, co-authoring influential publications in music education. He has received prestigious honors for his contributions, including induction into the Bands of America Hall of Fame and the Midwest Clinic Medal of Honor.
