There is nothing more beautiful than watching dancers moving in perfect syncopation. Trained to perfection, the all-male Rudrakshya ensemble, under the leadership of Guru Bichitrananda Swain, performs the traditional classical dance form of Odissi from India’s eastern state of Odisha. The dances have a perfectly balanced combination of sculpturesque poses, reminiscent of ancient Indian temples, and a strong rhythmic component that is the very pulse of dance.
