Description
How
do you say “Happy 100th Birthday?” Some say it with flowers. Some
say it with candy. Some call NBC’s Willard Scott and ask him to announce it
while advertising jams and jellies. Atascadero High School alumnus Darin Alvord
composed a symphony. It will be performed by the North County-based Symphony of
the Vines under the direction of Dr. Gregory Magie Saturday evening, Oct. 26th,
at the Lake Pavilion starting at 7 p.m. The Cuesta College North County Chorus
will also perform. Admission is $30 and tickets may be purchased online, at Matt's Guitars in Templeton, Boo-Boo Records in San Luis Obispo, the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce or
at the door. Concert sponsorships are also available with special benefits for
those contributing $250, $500 or $1,000. Interested sponsors may contact Steve
