Robert Mirabal is an internationally respected Pueblo musician and Native American flute player and maker from Taos Pueblo, New Mexico. An award-winning musician and leading proponent of world music, Mirabal performs worldwide, sharing flute songs, tribal rock, dance, and storytelling. Join us for this special concert to experience Mirabal’s music with a full band composed of Gary Medina Book, Ryan Clement, Richard Reed, Artha Meadors, and Kona Mirabal, and dancer, Robert Evan Trujillo. This performance is co-sponsored by Colby’s Arts Office, Colby’s Music department, and the Colby College Museum of Art, where a commissioned soundscape by Mirabal is included in the exhibition Painted: Our Bodies, Hearts, and Village, on view now through July 28th, 2024.
