Description
This art workshop led by Peter Bruun is for anyone who cares about the wellbeing of the Waterville area. Part of Together, a community art project presented by Studio B to uncover and celebrate stories from the Waterville area, the workshop begins with prompts: What makes your community a welcoming environment? When and how do you feel safe among others? What examples of being among caring people stand out for you? Conversation will yield for each participant ideas that then become subject for their art-making. No art experience is required, as Bruun will support each person’s pursuit of a finished piece. Paper and basic art materials (pencil, tempera, and oil pastel) will be provided, though participants are also welcome to bring their own materials. Completed works will be included in Together: Anecdotes & Inspirations, a community arts exhibition at the Schupf Art Center taking place April 2024. |
